SGE Poster Session at GSA Meeting
At the recent
Geological Society of America
Annual Meeting
in Toronto the
SGE Poster Paper session was very well received.
All participants are to be congratulated for their excellent presentations.
A special congratulations goes to Carlos Picornell, winner of
the $100 Austin A. Sartin Best Paper Award. Carlos is a member
of Gamma Omicron Chapter at the University of New Orleans. The title of
his poster was
Fold Style of Archean Marbels of the Indian Creek Metamorphic Suite, Tobacco Root Mountains, Southwestern Montana.
Honorable Mention and a $50 prize goes to Thomas Fewless, who presented
a paper entitled Petrologic Investigations of the Pole Creek and
Juniper Ridge Tuffs, Sonoma Range, North-Central Nevada. Thomas
worked with John J. Hayes, David Matty and Stephen Stahl, and he
is a member of the Epsilon Kappa chapter of Central Michigan
University.
